Screening
Below is a list of screenings mandated by Texas for middle school students. Class screenings are performed during the athletic/PE or elective period. Students are screened individually to maintain privacy. Parents may choose to have their child’s doctor perform the screening and provide a copy of the doctor’s finding to the School Nurse.
7th Grade: Scoliosis (Spinal) - Girls
7th Grade: Vision, Hearing and AN* (Acanthosis Nigricans)
8th Grade: Scoliosis (Spinal) - Boys
